FISHERNET EXHIBITION
Exhibition showing the rich fishing cultural heritage of Orkney and in particular Stromness: fishing in Viking times, whaling, herring fishing, seafaring legends and folklore, fishing boats, fishing techniques and modern fishing practices. Also featuring fishing heritage archive photographs and an aquarium display from Heriot Watt ICIT.
The display will be supported by a leaflet guiding you through Stromness, highlighting key aspects of fishing heritage between Ness Point and the Pier Head. Available from The Old Commercial Hotel and Stromness Museum.
