A warm, unassuming insight into some of the people that live along the coast of Norway.
Son of film director Haakon Sandberg, Øyvind has continued the family tradition to become one of Norways most productive documentarists ever, directing several award-winning productions over the years. His hallmark as a documentarist has been to present intimate and warm portraits of Norwegian people leading original and often ancient ways of life. Although having won numerous awards for his films (both cinematic and for television) over the years, his greatest success came in 2012, when Øyvind won Noway’s most prestigious film award, the Amanda, for his film Folk ved fjorde (The People By The Fjord).
